Profile
Sourced description · Not a firsthand review
Aloeswood is the stated difference between Tokusen and regular Kobunboku. Baieido’s North American distributor says it is added to the same familiar formula.
The distributor identifies Kalimantan as the aloeswood origin. That is ingredient provenance, not the manufacturing origin of the finished incense.
Regular Kobunboku is the first alternative to examine if you want to understand the reported recipe relationship. We do not claim the Tokusen version is stronger or better.
The 5.5-inch packages come in several weights, and a longer variant is also listed. No verified burn time for those formats appears in our retrieved sources.
What to check before choosing
The 120-minute claim for regular Kobunboku’s temple sticks cannot be transferred to Tokusen.
Where smoke is unknown, that is missing evidence, not an average level. Low smoke is reported only as a maker claim.
Burn time depends on the exact format and conditions. We do not convert package dimensions or a different stick’s specification into a measured time.
No current price per stick is verified here. Different box sizes, currencies and shipping costs make unsourced price comparisons misleading.
Partial ingredient disclosures cannot establish a complete formula or a health claim. Ventilate the room and use a heat-safe holder; never leave burning incense unattended.
